You've decided to take a Walt Disney World vacation. You've decided on your dates and poured over the Disney webs site and the mountain of travel books written about the #1 vacation destination in the world. The next big decision is where to stay. It seems as though there are a million choices. Disney operates over 20 resorts. There are countless chain hotels, local hotels, timeshares, and private rentals. The prices range from just a few dollars a day to thousand dollar a night suites. Choosing accommodations can be exhausting.

One option is a house or condo rental. In this arrangement, you rent a privately owned home from the owner. This is done either directly through the owner or through an intermediary property management agency. There are three excellent reasons to rent a home or condo for your stay.

1. The first benefit is space. While a childless couple may not have any qualms about spending a week sharing a 350 square foot hotel room, a family of four or more may feel cramped after a few days. A rental home can provide a separate bedrooms and multiple bathrooms and well over 1000 square space of breathing room. Naps and bedtimes are much easier when there is a quite space for the children to rest. Mom and Dad can have some much needed "kid free" time to relax after a loud day at the parks. Not to mention that vacation romance is also much easier when your not sharing a room with your children.

2. There are some wonderful amenities in a private rental. Many homes come with DVD players and video game systems. You can rent a home with a private pool and spa. Many larger homes have game rooms. Lots of rentals are located in resort type communities with pools parks and clubhouses that rival the more expensive hotels. Almost all of the rentals have a washer and dryer in the home, allowing your to pack less for your vacation and avoid the need to schedule time away from the parks to do laundry.
