If your child likes to ice skate and has friends and family who like to skate too, this is the perfect venue for their birthday party. The website recommends an instructor for children under 10 years old or for children ice-skating without any adults. A professional skating instructor is available at a special rate of $65 per hour.
The Rink at Rockefeller Center is available for birthday parties for children between the ages of 5 and 17. There is a minimum of 15 children for each birthday party. Birthday parties begin and end with an ice skating session. It is advisable to have an alternate date in mind in the event of poor weather conditions. You are not allowed to bring any food or beverage to the party. The Patina Restaurant Group, of Rockefeller Center, will supply your chosen food and beverage.
They offer two birthday packages. Package A is $21 a person. Some of what you will receive with this package includes: birthday cake and beverage, along with admission to the ice rink and skate rental. Package B is $33 a person. Some of what you will get with this package includes: various sandwiches, potato chips, birthday cake and beverages along with admission to the ice rink and skate rental. The choices of birthday cake and sandwiches are numerous and are listed on the website.
The ice skating rink is open seasonally. You need to inquire if the rink is available for the date you desire.
