If I Only Knew

If I only knew how beautiful the moon could shine, I would have taken the time to look up in the sky. It wasn't until you came along, I learned to appreciate the simple things in life. Your were born with 10 fingers and 10 toes and I was overwhelmed with joy. You entered this world with a very loud cry. Your first word was moon and you sure taught me a lot. I have never in my life looked up in the sky so much to find the moon for you.

To have you in my life is like a priceless treasure. I have learned to appreciate the beauty of nature and all it has to offer. Before you were born, I never took the time to enjoy the joy of creation. I took life for granted and never appreciated each day I was here. That has since changed and now I am a mother. It is because of you that you have put my life into perspective. Everything I do is to provide the best for you. I often get worried about this crazy world and wonder what it has planned for you. Your safety is my number one priority and how I never want to let you go. I pray that you use good judgement as you grow older and know when to say "no." I worry about the people you will meet and hope they will treat you with the respect that you deserve. For you are my everything, my world, my little girl.

You gentleness is like nothing I've ever known. You affection is something I treasure and your sweetness is like no other.
