A man's least favorite holiday is coming up again. Most men hate Valentine's Day because it is basically about trying to please their women with flowers and chocolate rather than a real celebration of a couple's love for each other. It can get expensive when you consider how much flower shops jack up the price of roses just because it is Valentine's Day. Last year a dozen long stem red roses in a vase cost approximately $85! Is that not a ridiculous expense?! By the time you add in dinner and a movie, you have spent enough for a month's worth of groceries! While most women feel like they are worth it, men are more practical and feel that there are better things to spend their money on. So what is a man to do? They know they are obligated to be romantic on Valentine's Day but how do they accomplish this without breaking the bank? Below you will find some simple and extremely inexpensive ideas for romantic gestures on Valentine's Day.

It is likely that your woman will have to work on Valentine's Day since it falls in the middle of the week. How about getting up early and preparing her an amazing breakfast? French toast is extremely easy to make and you can get some already cooked sausage or bacon that you just have to warm up. Serve it with her favorite morning beverage and top with off with some delicious whipped cream. Get her up just a few minutes early and serve her breakfast in bed. While she is getting ready, get all of her things together so she will make it out the door on time. Another thing to do for your woman before she goes to work is to draw her a warm bubble bath for her to savor and enjoy instead of her traditional rushed five minute shower. Make sure she has plenty of good smelling bath bubbles and body washes to pamper her. These can be purchased at dollar stores for cheap but smell great! While she is taking her luxurious bubble bath you can make sure the kids are getting ready, make breakfast, and make sure her things are in order so she is not late for work.

I was surfing for romantic Valentine's Day ideas when I came across this article: 'Romantic Inexpensive Valentine's Day Ideas' You nailed it. I loved all those ideas, and would be far happier that my man thought enough of me to make the effort to do any of those things, than I would be that he was capable of driving to a flower store and flashing a credit card. Real romance is absolutely free...and yet, they have no idea. Too bad.
