Carrie Ann Vs. Bruno in Dance Wars

The recent writer's strike in Hollywood hasn't stopped the beat for a dozen Hollywood hopefuls. In tonight's episode of Dance Wars - Bruno vs. Carrie Ann the battle ensued between the two opposing teams. Last week, the teams were divided up through a schoolyard selection process. Carrie Ann getting first choice from the group of guys - and Bruno winning out to have both the first selection from the girls and also the first choice for the last girl and guy members to join his team. The first contestants to pack their bags were Corina Noelle and Maxx Reed, the two performers left standing after the final team selections were made by Carrie Ann.

Tonight, "Team Bruno" and "Team Carrie Ann" performed song and dance routines hoping to wow the viewers at home that began casting votes at the end of the show.

The show opened with an energetic performance by the entire group of contestants. Following the recap from last week's show, the battle began, but not before a technical difficulty caused the inaccurate display of the names of the contestants during their introduction.

"Team Bruno" tried to bring a little more sophistication to the dance floor, while showing their skills with a song and dance routine to a "Little Less Conversation." Carrie Ann's team took a fresher spin on things with the hip-hop number "Run-It" . But the microphone failure experienced by Chris resulted in a distraction big enough to ruin what might have been a great performance by Team Carrie Ann.

In the second round, Carrie Ann dissed Bruno's ability to bring out the "lead" in his performers and called them a "chorus" after their performance to "S.O.S." The standout performer in the final group performance was Mariel with her powerful and soulful voice.

It's way too early to call this match-up. The results will be announced on the next show, on January 28th, at 8PM EST on ABC. The first team member will be going home defeated... but the battle will rock on.
