The nominations for the 80th Academy Awards were announced this morning,Tuesday, January 22, 2008, by Academy President Sid Ganis and Oscar winner Kathy Bates. Kathy Bates won her Oscar award for her lead performance in "Misery" a 1990 film.

The Academy Awards Show for outstanding film achievements of 2007 will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

Great recap! I was disappointed that Enchanted didn't receive more nominations, but at least they got three nods for the songs.
