2008 Oscar Nominations
The nominees are in line with other recent film and critic award nomination and winners for the best film making of 2007.
Best Picture Oscar Nominations
Atonement- No surprise here. Atonement has been a critical favorite since it first hit the big screen.
Juno* This was the big surprise, although it is a real crowd-pleaser. Consider it a nod from the Academy for a job well done. Ironically, teen pregnancy is more acceptable on film than in real Hollywood circles.
Michael Clayton - This long-shot rightfully grabbed a nomination.
No Country for Old Men - This is the movie favored to win.
There Will Be Blood - Another serious pick by the Academy.
