Aarons Furniture -vs- Rent a Center, Who's on Top?

Again, I have to say just what it is like to have credit problems and be treated like you have some unknown disease that you can't get credit any where. Even for furniture. I am giving you the facts about the best furniture and what

to expect. For I have dealt with all furniture rentals that are out there today. But this Subject is about, Aaron's -Vs- Rent-A-Center. (RAC). Everyone knows that when you walk into a store and you want to Rent to Own something it should be of your choice. This is a Experience I had with both.

Rent-A-Center
Very good on locations. But some of these locations are so small you can't really have a choice to rent what you want. Unless you order it from their catalog and let me tell you. they always say okay we can have it 3 days. Not True, it took me 3 weeks to get the furniture I wanted and still did not get what we personally ordered. When asked why we did not get it we were told that it was out of date, out of print. So when I asked how come i was not called about it, they told me that they thought I would like the next best thing. Okay first off you do not have your walls painted a peach and have hard wood floors and then get orange or red furniture. it looks terrible. when I told them I was not happy with it they told because it was custom ordered I was stuck with it. Some of the RAC's have really good customer service and then some have where you want to just hang them. Again their products in general are allot of re-rented items.

Never do you go to a Rent-A_Center and not see a burn hole on their furniture, It very bad scratched items. or even dented items. I rented a Apartment Size Washer and Dryer, they showed up with this thing with dents so bad and the smell was terrible, when they put the dryer down, at least 6 roaches came out. That is just
plain sick.. takes 3 to 4 weeks for replacement items. I rented a different living room set, they called me and told my stuff was in, and that I will have it
the next day. I got it the next day, but it smelled of urine and cigar smoke.. again nasty...

i agree mr thomasmagee i am a former rent a center employee for 2 years, the comments you qouted were 100% correct..Thats not even the half of the story try threats of your job every single day for not hitting A NUMBER. We close at 8pm but still have to bang or beat on customer doors daily to try to retrieve our product. We get beat up our stores and delivery truck gets damage because of upset customers getting harrast all day during work hours and the upper management tells us thats part of our job . The market or rd manager calls all day non stop to make sure we dont leave the store until we find away to get the items back from the customer or we are fired if not fired demoted if not demoted transfered to a store miles and miles away from our homes, this company is not going to last long, i see aarons looks and treats there customers and employees with way more respect than rentacenter
