Westin Hotel in Cabo San Lucas Won't Disappoint

Beautiful infinity pools, great restaurants, beachfront, and distinct architecture are all traits of this wonderful hotel. When the Westin name is attached to hotel, there are certain expectations. And the Westin in Cabo San Lucas does not let you down.

The long trip up the driveway leads to an open-air lobby. Stepping out of the taxi, the warm air and the smell of the ocean never leave you throughout your stay. Stepping up into the lobby, the view is of the huge hotel down by the beach, but the large half square cut-out in the hotel allows you to see all the way to the ocean. If you are used to standard hotel architecture, you'll appreciate the u-shaped structure.

The margarita greeting is always a nice touch as well. Once you get the keys, your luggage is whisked away and you'll head down the elevator to the the courtyard walk to the hotel. The lobby is a couple stories above your head as you walk through the gardens with fresh smelling flowers and small ponds. It seems there was always someone cleaning throughout our stay.

The rooms were beautiful as well. The standard rooms have a hard tile floor, heavenly beds, and of face the ocean. I really recommend paying the extra money to stay in the Royal Beach Club rooms. For a small additional fee, you will receive a free breakfast each morning (basically continental), plus free appetizers and drinks from 5-7p each night. Feel free to take your drinks back down to the pool. Considering most drinks are $8-10, it pays for itself really quickly. The rooms located in the prime area of the hotel as well with perfect views of the ocean. Looking out your balcony, there is only about 20 yards of pool and beach to the ocean. On a clear day, you can see for miles. The upgraded junior suites are expensive, but memorable. They each contain a jacuzzi tub and day bed out on the balcony. These rooms are perfect for celebrating special events. My recommendation is booking a royal beach club room and if you'd like to upgrade for a night or two, wait until your there. You get a better price.
