Amy Winehouse is the United Kingdom's answer to Britney Spears. As Britney Spears dominates the tabloids in the United States, and also makes a few appearances across the pond, Amy Winehouse is the tabloid queen in the UK. This is quite impressive as in the United Kingdom, they have a bunch of tabloids that come out every single day, unlike those in the United States that come out once a week.

Unlike Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse has received critical acclaim for her voice and is considered a talented soul and jazz singer. The 24 year old Winehouse never went the "pop princess" route, unlike Britney Spears. Amy Winehouse is also married and has no children. That is where the differences end.

Like Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse is a bleached blonde who often goes around looking disheveled. She has drug problems and a turbulent personal life. Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was recently charged in a pub brawl. According to Associated Press reports, the British singer screamed out in court "Love you, handsome gorgeous one!" to her husband, which caused a disruption in the crown court.
