It's all over the news. Every television station, every paper, everyone is talking about our superstar quarterback and his cast. New England and the world are in a panic, but Tom Brady of the New England Patriots will play on Super Bowl Sunday, just like he has played all season. Almost every week of the team's 18-0 season, the all-star quarterback has been listed as "probable." Now I don't know who's been paying attention, but that means "probable" to be a winner, to break records, to take his team to its fourth Super Bowl in seven years. The news is saying Brady has a "high ankle sprain," and maybe that's true, but he isn't "Get the Popcorn Ready" Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys, he's a trooper, our hero, our Tom Terrific. New York Giants fans are so nervous about Brady's team that they're already planning a way to "jinx" him, with pictures of his baby's momma for fans to use in Arizona. True blue Patriots fans won't fret. We know our golden boy. He'll come through with help from Moss, Wexler, Maroney, Bruschi, Seau, Light, and the rest of this undefeated, amazing, record-breaking football team. The New England Patriots will beat Manning, the younger not the usual, and his New York Giants just like they beat them twice this year, just like they beat every opponent all season long.

What makes Tom even more terrific is the way he handles the media. He answers all their questions with all the right answers, with a smile on his face. This seems to be something the Patriots have learned from Bill Belichick, the genius behind the team, yet Tom has made an art of it. The media wait for him to make a verbal mistake, but he just doesn't do it. Even when he fathered an ex-girlfriend's child, the media couldn't do much with it. He's too straight-forward, too All-American.

Tom will be on the field on Super Bowl Sunday. He'll be prepared, he'll be psyched, and he'll be ready to lead the New England Patriots to their fourth Super Bowl title in seven years. Hopefully Peyton will be there to support his little brother. After all, he's used to being second to Brady. Brady sometimes seems too good to be true, and maybe he is. I'm just glad he's ours.
