Too many tears;
Fallen from my eyes;
The day has been too hard;
The night has become endless;
My heart breaks;
From the weight of the pain;
My head hurts;
I feel no hunger;
Isolated from within;
I retreat to inaction;
I turn off the world;
That doesn't know that I'm here;
I bury my face in my pillows;
I curl up into a ball;
I pull the blankets over me;
Providing shelter from the cold;
The world is still moving;
While I remain unchanged;
Will tomorrow be better?
I won't know until morning

I've had days that made me feel that way all too often. I know it can be difficult but hang in there.

Lisa, the one thing I really liked about this poem was the very last line. After expression so much sadness and pain, you leave an opening for tomorrow to be better. The hope of that last line makes it all worthwhile.

Consider this comment the next best thing to a hug I can give you. Painfully beautiful!

Hi Sis, this is a really really good poem. My computer here at work won't let me log in to get messages, so I'll e-mail you later tonight! I love this poem and thankyou for being there for me always. *****

I'm with you Lisa. Just let go everything and always ready to embrace wonderful things, for they all around you waiting to be discovered. :-)

It's okay to cry and let go some times. A bad day is not the end of the world but when it happens you just have to accept it for what it is and move on with resilience to face tomorrow. Powerful poetry as usual. Thanks for sharing.

I have been told if you hang your troubles on a tree when you get home, and forget about them for the night, when you go to collect them in the morning they dont seem so bad after all, sometimes they are gone. Why is it that so many of us seem to be in the same boat, and I, for one, love being in your company. Ken

What Marsha said is sol true--tomorrow will be better-I'm hoping, but the best poetry comes out of deep emotions and this one and many of your poems are so deep and profound. I like all the cheerful stuff too, but Lisa some of these really heartfelt poems that reflect a sadness make me feel like I'm not alone and help me to understand what's going on in this messed up world. I know that's a lot to swallow, but it's the truth; I love all your poetry, but these ones are special. Hang in there kiddo, and remember your cared about. *****

Dearest Lisa, you break my heart. This sort of pain and agony SHOULD NOT VISIT ANYONE, especially not YOU.

I'm sorry your day has been bad mine wasn't too swell either. Let's hope both of our days go better tomorrow! You know, there is one thing good about a bad day, it let's you show your emotions in your writings. You did an excellent job here.
