Renaissance Faires celebrate a time of ancient history. Take several steps back in time, to another era. The imagination takes flights as a cast of fanciful characters role play and act out stories. Colorful characters and pageantry abound on the streets of Merry Old England. The Royal Family may be spotted, along with their courts. Open air markets display the unique wares of artisans. Food, drink and merriment is the rule of the day.

The Arizona Renaissance Festival, east of Apache Junction, runs for eight weeks starting in February. Two Rivers Renaissance Faire in Yuma is a weekend event. The Phoenix Faerie Faire is one day event that takes place in November. Following is a brief description of the Renaissance festivals in Arizona this year.
