The Tefal Quick Cup was launched with so much hoopla and I am one of those unfortunate guys who were fooled by the marketing team. It was so stupid of me to blindly go by the advertisement and only after using it I realized that all their claims were baseless. This definitely saves a lot of energy but what is the point in spending 54 bucks for this cup when it is not functionally satisfying. To begin with let me tell you that this is a hot water dispenser and not a kettle. So be very clear about your expectations and hence it is not wise to compare the output of both these equipments. However at the end of the day if the purpose is served, I am totally happy and would not have raised doubts about its performance.

The Tefal Quick Cup is a portable water dispenser that can provide you a cup of hot or cold water instantly. As per the advertisement this is supposed to deliver a cup of hot water in just 3 seconds and this sadly never occurred with me. To be hones it takes 24 seconds and that is nearly ten times their estimate. Still it is commendable to have such a handy and compact cup that can dispense hot water like a breeze without burning the stove or switching on the kettle. Going by the effort and inconvenience involved in operating the kettle at the middle of the night and while traveling for just a cup of water, the Tefal Quick Cup is a commendable item.

This is definitely good for those who desire to have a cup of coffee, tea or plain hot water. At this juncture I would like to caution you that this cup dispenses only hot water and not boiling water. So do not expect the water to be piping hot like that from a kettle. This temperature of water is fine for making coffee or just hot water but it is not good for preparing tea. Moreover it gets cooled soon and hence the warm water has to be consumed immediately. The water is dispensed at the single touch of a button and the 1.5 liters tank is capacious for a personal use.
