"But you know, we have looked several times for state sponsorship of al Qaeda and not found any real linkages to Iraq." -- President Bush

If there were no links to Iraq the why are we at war with them? When you read of the war al Qaeda is always mentioned as the organization in which initiated the terrorism attacks or 9/11. If they are not the ones responsible for the terrorism attacks why is Bush gunning for them and publicly demoralizing that organization? He and his administration are always saying that al Qaeda was indeed responsible for 9/11 so why is he sticking his foot in his mouth? In all honesty he needs to get his story straight. All of this was stated just 48 hours after the 9/11 attacks. I would think it would take longer to secure concrete evidence against those responsible. I believe that this statement is false.

President Bush said: "They're both risks, they're both dangerous. The difference, of course, is that Al Qaeda likes to hijack governments. Saddam Hussein is a dictator of a government. Al Qaeda hides, Saddam doesn't, but the danger is, is that they work in concert. The danger is, is that Al Qaeda becomes an extension of Saddam's madness and his hatred and his capacity to extend weapons of mass destruction around the world."

He previously stated that there was no link to al Qaeda and now he is sure of their involvement. He is also stating that they are an extension of Saddam Hussein. In so many reports President Bush assures us that weapons of mass destruction are under control. So why is he so concerned about the issue here? If he knew that they were both risks then why did he previously state that al Qaeda had no ties to Iraq.

"The Iraqi regime possesses biological and chemical weapons, is rebuilding the facilities to make more and, according to the British government, could launch a biological or chemical attack in as little as 45 minutes after the order is given. The regime has long-standing and continuing ties to terrorist groups, and there are al Qaeda terrorists inside Iraq. This regime is seeking a nuclear bomb, and with fissile material could build one within a year."

Wow! All those false statements come down to two points: 1). Iraq has WMD's, and 2). Iraq had links to Al Qaeda. Please explain how this differs from the Clinton administration statements. It was the Clinton administration in 1998 that created a policy of regime change in Iraq. That was after Saddam kicked the UN inspectors out. The UN still has not accounted for Iraq's WMD's. I was not surprised this group gets funding from Soros and other leftists.
