A Simulated Off Road Adventure with Toyota

Each year the auto show comes to St. Louis, Missouri bringing with it over 600 new cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, and concept vehicles. Along with the auto show is the Toyota Off Road On Site Adventure. This annual event, put on by Toyota, travels with the auto show to all the major cities
across the United States. It starts in September and ends the following spring in April.
At this exciting event, people can test drive the Toyota's 4X4 machines such as the Tundras, Tacomas and FJ Cruisers in a simulated off road environment. For some it can the experience of a lifetime if they have driven a 4X4 machine off road.
A small parking lot near the auto show is set up to build a specialty course for an off road adventure. Hundreds of tons of dirt and 10 tons of river rock are used to build steep, dirt mountains well over six feet tall. The river rock is used to build a simulated riverbed or rock crawl. The course also includes moguls (bumps), a teeter totter, berms (where you dive on the side of a steep dirt hill), bridge, and a tunnel.
The rules are simple:
· You must be 18 or older and have a current driver's license.
· Minors can attend the event with a legal guardian or parent.
· Children can ride if they are at least four feet, nine inches tall and over eight years of age. If they are eight years old, but do not meet the height requirement they will need to prove their age with a birth certificate or passport.
· Riders in car seats are not permitted.
· Cost is free, but you must have purchased and show a ticket from the auto show.
The Toyota Tacoma is a 4X4 vehicle that has a V6 engine with an available 243 horse power. It comes in regular, access or double cab models and ranges in price from approximately $15,000 to $25,000.
With 318 horsepower and a V8 engine, the Toyota Tundra might just be the truck you need to get the work done. The Tundra is a full size, one-half ton truck that comes in regular, double or crewmax models. It ranges in price from approximately $22,000 to $38,000.
