Caring for Dry Skin - Product to Rejuvenate
As the seasons prepare for a cycle of change you may notice that your skin gets dry and flaky. This may be particularly true if you have naturally dry skin. Our skin is constantly affected by many different factors such as age, diet, climate, health and stress. As we age, our skin loses
moisture, which is why we need to hydrate our skin not only on the outside but from the inside as well. It is important to eat properly and maintain a healthy diet because our skin is nourished from within.
Climate changes may also wreck havoc on our skin. If you consider all that our skin is exposed to such as the harsh rays of the sun and the bitter chill of winter wind it is really amazing that our skin remains as healthy as it does with a relatively simple amount of care. Not only is our skin exposed to the harsh elements of climatic conditions, we pile various types of makeup on our faces day in and day out, sometimes even forgetting to take it off before we go to sleep if we are too tired. We also come in contact with chemicals found in cleaning supplies and insecticides that can cause irritation to sensitive skin.
Your overall health can affect the condition of your skin too. Stress can affect all aspects of our being. We can feel the effects of stress in our physical bodies, our mental state and even on a spiritual level. Stress can cause your skin to break out. You may notice eruptions of blackheads appearing across your nose or covering the base of your chin. Some people even break out with hives due to stress.
You can keep your skin healthy and glowing by following a few basic guidelines. Drink water every day. Even if you can't drink the classic eight glasses a day, which isn't totally necessary for basic skin care, you can still consume an adequate amount of water on a daily basis without overdoing it. Eat a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables. Doing so helps to hydrate and nourish your skin.
