A True Story About Two Old Irish Brothers - Paddy & Mick
Home Improvement Project Gone Bad
I must set the scene for you. Two very elderly Irish brothers, Paddy and Mick, well into their late seventies, never married and living their lives with no modern conveniences. The entire income comes by selling milk, eggs and their cows at the local monthly
Last Wednesday Paddy went out to the old dilipidated barn to fix the single electric lightbulb that hung from raw wires dangling from an old wooden beam. He pulled over an old milking chair and was standing unscrewing the blown bulb when he suddenly got a cramp in his right foot. Paddy was holding onto the light cable balancing on the milking stool and shaking his right boot when his older brother Mick walked in. Thinking that Paddy was being electrocuted...Mick grabbed the nearest thing to hand, an old shovel, and whacked Paddy in the arm to release him for imminent death.
Mick broke Paddy's arm - all over a cramp in the foot. You can imagine the rest! Poor unfortunate Paddy is now the laughing stock of their little village and Mick feels dreadful. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction.
