Recently, I purchased a bottle of body wash that had a scent that I did not like. I could have easily discarded the bottle as being useless, but I salvaged my
errant purchase by recycling the body wash for other uses. In my attempts to be a frugal shopper, I immediately began thinking of ways that I could recycle the body wash and not feel that my pocketbook had been robbed. If you ever purchase an unwanted scent of body wash or liquid soap, some of these suggestions may help you realize a savings and effectively recycle your body wash/liquid soap to an alternative use.

Use in Soap Dispenser
Instead of buying a bottle of soap refill, use your body wash to fill the bathroom and kitchen sink dispensers. At a fraction of the cost of the liquid soap refills, you have a cleanser that is gentle and effective for hand washing. If the body wash is too thick to easily flow through the dispenser handle, you can dilute the body wash to a consistency that will flow easily through the dispenser's nozzle.

Hosiery and Lingerie
No need to buy a separate soap for washing hosiery and lingerie. Place your delicate articles in the sink or lingerie bag, swish in the body wash solution, rinse and hang to dry. Voila! Clean smelling hosiery and lingerie with a hint of fragrance from the body wash. Before wearing new pantyhose, extend the life of the pantyhose by washing it first in water to which a few drops of body wash have been added.

Household Cleaning
Just depleted your store of sink and toilet cleanser? Have no fear, body wash is near. Put a few squirts of body wash into the sink and clean with a non abrasive pad. It gives the sink a lovely gleam and is inexpensive. For the toilet, if you run out of your usual toilet bowl cleaner, you can swish the bowl with a small quantity of body wash. The bowl will be clean with little effort.

Playtime Fun for Children
Make a mixture of body wash and water, place the wand in the solution and let your children have bubbles of fun. It is inexpensive and provides
hours of fun for the youngsters.

These are good ideas. I'll have to try the sink washing one. I hate to use harsh chemicals where the kids are brushing their teeth!
