Being a mom of three babies having them all in their own beds now can be very difficult at times, especially when you have one child who just flat out refuses to sleep like my daughter. My daughter just hates to sleep she always feels like shes missing out on something. She kept telling me that she was scared to sleep. I would go in her room read a book, comfort her, rub her back and anything possible to try and make her sleep, but all fails. Then I asked her why don't you want to sleep? She told me "mommy there is monsters in my room". Well at first when I heard this I had to turn my head away and chuckle a little. Then I told her there is no monsters and you can go to sleep. Don't be scared they will not hurt you. So still believing that there was monsters she told me that I had to get rid of them. At first I was like OK what am I gonna use to try to convince her and get rid of the monsters? I wanted her to feel safe and secure in her bed. I looked for a spray bottle and placed some water and lavender drops into it. Then I said I need to make this bottle more realistic and professional so my daughter wouldn't think I was just using a regular water bottle that I use when I cut peoples hair. Kids are very smart and pick up on these type of things very quickly.

Awesome! I love this idea. A few days ago, a lady in the doctor's office told us that she similar technique for her son. She filled a bottle with salt water and called it monster spray, and now he's not afraid anymore. He just sprays them. I like your idea much better, as the lavendar does actually have a calming effect, so it's actually helping.

I felt guilty about it but I used a similar technique and it worked. My child didn't hold it against me or consider me dishonest but understood that his own belief and confidence was really the "magic" of that spray. :)

I had a magical protection spell I used to say for my kids. So far I haven't had to use it with my grandson but I've got it just in case. My kids always believed that the "spell" was real until they got old enough to know better.
