Natural Remedy for Toe Nail Fungus

There are many natural remedies for toe nail fungus, and many more home or folk remedies that aren't quite so natural... but they solve the nail fungus problems too.

Most natural remedies used for toe nail fungus work well because they have antibiotic, antiseptic, and antifungal properties as part of their makeup. Here are the most popular
natural remedies for toe nail fungus:

1. Tea Tree Oil. This is a natural antiseptic and antifungal oil that comes from a plant in Australia. It can be purchased in any health store, as well as some large chain pharmacies. Just put a drop or two on the affected toe nail once or twice each day, then cover it with something such as a cotton sock.

2. Thyme Oil. Another natural antiseptic and strong antifungal herb that can be a great remedy for toe nail fungus. Just put a drop or two on the affected toe nails at least once or twice each day, then cover them with a cotton sock.

3. Lemongrass oil. This natural herb is an excellent remedy for toe nail fungus that has had reports of working extremely well for many people. It's applied the same way: A few drops on the affected toe nails once or more each day. In most cases, within minutes to hours of applying lemongrass oil to the affected toe nails, the fungus infected areas will turn black. This is an indication that the remedy is already starting to work.

4. Lemon juice. Another simple, effective, natural remedy for toe nail fungus and another all natural product that has very strong antiseptic properties. You can rub lemon juice around on the affected areas, or soak your feet in lemon juice if you prefer. The acid in lemon juice might irritate your skin though.

5. Garlic. Garlic is an excellent natural remedy for toe nail fungus as well as just about any other type of infection or fungus. Garlic is a very powerful antibiotic that does especially well with fungus related problems. You can buy garlic oil and use it the same way you would any of the above noted oils, or you can simply crush up a few cloves of raw garlic and apply it as a paste or pack to the affected toe nail fungus areas. Leave the pack on for twenty to thirty minutes, then rinse it off.
