Just because you're at work doesn't mean you shouldn't have fun on Valentine's Day, right? If your boss agrees, get busy creating fun games and contests to try. There are lots of different ways to celebrate the lovers' day at the office, and chances are, you'll have lots of laughs with your fellow workers.

One fun contest that's easy to make involves hearts on a board. Whether it's a message board, cork board, or just a piece of cardboard, the game is lots of fun. Cut many heart shapes of white, pink and red. Staple or tape them all over the board, overlapping some slightly, and placing others at various angles and places on the board. Have a contest to see who can guess exactly how many total hearts are on the board. It's difficult to count that many, especially when some are slightly on top of others, so count how many there are as you put them on the board. The person who guess exactly - or comes the closest to guessing the number - wins the prize, whatever it may be.

You'll have lots of fun with another easy game you can make at the office. Make two boards: one for men and one for women. Cut heart shapes and write instructions on the backs. The game can consist of instructions to hug a fellow co-worker, or to make him or her coffee all day, or can be even more intimate - depending upon what the office rules of the day will allow. Each woman will draw from the woman's board and each guy, from the men's board. They will then follow the instructions on the back of the heart they chose. This game can also be played a few days before Valentine's Day, then the workers will each draw a name, and bring that person a gift. There are lots of different ways to make this game perfect for your particular office.

Fill a jar with chocolate kiss candies and have all the office workers guess how many are in the jar. The person who guesses closest wins the jar of chocolate. It might be a good idea to have a second jar made in case of a tie. You can use any candy - like M&M's - instead of the kisses.

Takeaways
  • There are lots of fun games you can play for Valentine's Day at the office.
  • If you and your co-workers are close you can choose games that involve physical contact.
  • Have co-workers guess how many hearts are stapled to a board or how many candy kisses are in a jar.
Did You Know?
Have teams of guys and gals. The men must make a dress out of newspaper and pin it to the woman as they design it. The onlookers vote on whose dress is best and who finished quickest.
