MRIPA: Midwestern Researchers and Investigators of Paranormal Activity
How can you tell whether or not something is the "real deal" and not just some fad or hoax brought into the spotlight by some random person? This concern intensifies even more when it involves the subject of paranormal phenomena, or events that cannot be explained because they do not fit
under any existing scientific rules or theories. The truth to the matter is that it's extremely hard to distinguish between fact and fiction especially when it involves the validity of people or teams that claim to be paranormal investigators. Are they really legit? What is the underlying motivation of the people involved? If the motivation is for publicity, personal recognition, monetary incentives, and/or because it's the popular trend and EVERYONE is doing it, than more than not the people involved for any of those reasons are not legit and anything they say should be taken with a grain of salt. However, there are people in the field of investigating paranormal phenomena that are solely in it for "the quest for truth," gaining insight and more understanding into what science claims to be irrelevant because rules and theories cannot explain it, and to obtain some type of evidence or proof that something greater is out there for they believe we are only a small part of a much broader picture. Than, in return, these paranormal investigators will share their findings with others only for the purpose of enlightening them. To finally make people realize that not everything is in black and white, but rather there is a whole lot of grey in there too. A LOT of grey - the grey that science alone cannot even begin to comprehend.
