Exuding all your precious traits.
From your sparkling smile, to the things you say,
What shame; our love could be so great.
When I close my eyes, I recall your face
Turned toward me, our eyes locked tight.
My memory tortured from the empty space
That must now occupy each night.
Forbidden from each other's heart and dreams
By honor, respect, guilt and pain
Foiling forever my mind's gentle scheme
My emotions dismissed in vain.
Remove yourself from my infected mind,
Your eyes, your kiss, your smile and touch.
I walk away, searching, and hope to find
Another love I crave as much.
