Bodum 5679 C-Mill Electric Coffee Grinder is one of those sweet products in the market which would definitely make your life a lot easier and your coffee better. I am a coffee maniac and I am not really fond of electric
grinder for two reasons. First the machine would get heated up soon and this would definitely hurt the taste of the coffee. The second and the most ominous problem is the thickness of the powder, it can never be uniform and you need to dream about uniformity in an electric grinder. I never really have come across any grinder which can give me a uniform blend without getting heated up.
As I told you I am a coffee maniac, so I would rather prefer a burr grinder rather than this Bodum 5679 C-Mill Electric Coffee Grinder. But I will recommend this product for normal people who are not coffee maniacs for a variety of reasons. First of all it has a very powerful motor. The motor makes sure that the beans are cut rapidly at a very fast pace of time and as a result there is very little heat generated. I really do not find any change in the taste of the coffee owing to the heat generated by the motor.
Above everything else, this grinder is made of stainless steel. I am really irritated with the plastic types which have become common in all those grinders. It may also have a simple press button operation, but I really hate this for the noise which it makes. The noise is quite awful, but I would accept the noise for a simple reason. The motor cuts the beans in a short span of time giving you fresh coffee powder without getting heated up.
Overall, for the average coffee lover the Bodum 5679 C-Mill Electric Coffee Grinder is indeed a phenomenal product. This ergonomically designed product is a sure winner. There are some negative aspects too. It is too difficult to clean. I would have rather preferred a container at the bottom which would have the ground powder. The powder tends to stick to the walls of the container and after enjoying a wonderful cup of coffee, this cleaning thing may even give you a headache.
