The Super Bowl is a great day to party. It is also a great day to eat. But about if you made a New Year resolution to eat better. He is some suggestions to help prevent you from abandoning those resolutions.

First, use pam cooking spray instead of oil. Pam on roasted potatoes instead of oil is a great way to get the taste without the fat.

Use some white beans in your guacamole. It will taste just as good without all the fat of an avocado.

Use different flavored salsa. You can use mango or bean based salsa as well as the traditional tomato.

Try mixing dry ranch dressing with non-fat yogurt in place of the high fat onion dip. You can even buy reduced fat blue cheese dressing for dipping for those chicken wings.

Try drinking something besides beer like the following: flavored ciders, pina colada without the alcohol or a favorable punch made with ginger ale or smoothies.

Spread the hero sandwiches with flavored mustards like Dijon or horseradish mustard or use hummus in place of high calorie mayo. Also, you make a roasted vegetable hero using roasted vegetables with some lean roast beef. Also, you can buy some reduced fat cheese.

Make a bean based chili or turkey based chili in place of high fat meat flavored chili. Try adding some dark chocolate which is good for the heart.

Make some fruit with cheese ka-bobs instead of meat ka-bobs. You can make some dark chocolate fondue to dip the fruit or use angel food cake. The point is to dip your food rather then pour on the calories.

Make some fish taco with shredded cabbage.

Bake the chicken wings in the oven instead of frying them in the pan in oil.

Try some veggie dogs or make tofu-veggie egg rolls for appetizers. I like the Morningstar brand. I can't even tell that the corn dogs is not a real hot dog.

If want ice cream mix the light and the regular ice cream so you won't so a high concentration of the high fat ice cream. Try serving some sherbet with the cake.

If you make some cakes use apple sauce to replace the fat in the cake. Make some chocolate chip cookies using cholesterol-reducing oatmeal.
