Other Musical Groups I'd Love to See Again

What a disappointment for some that there won't be a reunion of the New Kids on the Block group. Although they had a couple of memorable songs which I will admit to humming along to, I can't say that I am wholeheartedly disappointed. There are but a few groups that I believe should ever have come together, and even fewer that I believe should get back together once the marriage is over. Here are some of the bands, though, that I wish could get back together again for one more round.

One of my favorite musical groups of all time has to be P-Funk (AKA Parliament and Funkadelic) featuring George Clinton. I remember listening to them as a young kid in the 70's and as a teenager in the 80's knowing even then that there was something special about what I was hearing. And, although I can't dance like I used to "back in the day", I can't help but to move when I hear the old hits like "Flashlight", "Atomic Dog", or "One Nation under Our Groove". (I see you nodding your head as you play the beats in your mind!)

P-Funk went just beyond the music that they made, though. They put on a real show, from what I have seen on the old footage. You never quite knew what they would be wearing when they came on stage and the energy was incredible. This band also set the stage for the successes of many of today's artists because their music has been sampled by hundreds of today's music producers, even laying the ground floor for the "G-Funk" music era of music producer/rapper Dr. Dre. While I know that the group members are merely shells of their former selves, it is fun to think about how much fun it must have been to see them in their prime.
