Personally, I have been on both sides of the fertility/infertility fence. I enjoyed bountiful fertility when I conceived and carried my 6 girls in a row to term, and then after turning 40, suffered 5 consecutive miscarriages that plummeted me into some dark, dark times. I could not fathom not being able to conceive and carry to term anymore. What was different? How could I find out and take steps to overcome it? I remember it well, and when I hear about couples having difficulties conceiving after one or more children, and then finding that they are unable to do so further, it takes me back to those dark times, and I am able to sympathize and relate to the pain of it all well. Actually, there are probably alot of the same changes going on with age related infertility as Secondary Infertility. Unless there are some new problems with regard to structural problems like fibroids, or tubal damage, or maybe some endometriosis, alot of Secondary Infertility can be similar to many other types of infertility, and occur for alot of the same reasons. Reasons like digestion changes.
