The FBI has a lovely division that just deals with cyberpunks and their cybercrime. Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) is handed a website where a tech boy sets up a webcam so people can view deaths that are based on internet page hits. The more hits the page gets the fast the victims die. So the FBI tries really hard to find this cyberwonder and the hits roll in faster and faster each time killing the helpless victims at an alarming rate. Untraceable.

The acting was alright. Nothing spectacular from anyone in this film, it was just a throw away film. It was like a second job where a police officer is a security guard at night. A second job that he believes will be simple and a breeze, nothing but getting extra money.

There really is no need to spend too much time on this film. The storyline was interesting and yes it was timely. I'm sure something like that would be thrilling if it happened off the big screen. Would they be able to catch the killer? Seeing how inept the Government can be with things of this nature I'm going to have to bank on no. Anyway the idea was interesting and thrilling. How they decide to go about it, though, was not at all interesting or thrilling. It was too slow. I'm thinking that a thriller should be thrilling and have some speed put into it and by the end be dragging the viewers by their ears and throats. But that was not what happened.

Instead they took too long to set things up and the murders were not at all that interesting. They are presenting the generation of Saw and Final Destination with murders that are lame in comparison. They need to get a little more creative with their ideas and more thrilling and less cheap and silly. It was a bit Sawish in the idea behind why the killer decided to be mister mean.
