Remember when you were little, and Popeye made eating Spinach look cool? Every time he was in trouble, he would whip out a can of his trusty spinach, gulp it down and just watch his muscles grow to capacity. From there, he would beat up the 'bad guys' save the day, and have taught tons of young viewers a valuable lesson on the value of spinach.

In all reality, spinach is one of the most valuable things of nature that you can put into your body. It is packed with folic acid, vitamin K, iron, ascorbic acid, calcium, fiber and carotenoids. This helps make for stronger bones and decreased risk of osteoporosis, arthritis, and other bone diseases as well as staving off cancer, heart disease, cataracts and macular degeneration, and increasing the likelihood of transitioning into old age more gracefully. The list of health benefits of spinach goes on and on.

If you can remember Popeye, chances are that you probably also remember the fact that spinach is not too good of a thing, when you are a child. If you are a parent yourself, chances are that you are still aware of the common children's' aversion to spinach. The truth is that most kids do not like anything that looks remotely healthy, spinach included with many other vegetables and leafy greens, no matter how tasty a parent swears it is or however much a parent tries to force them to eat it (and hopefully like it). The common boiled-rubber version of spinach is great for health, but bad for spinach's reputation. To get your family to be a bit more spinach-friendly, here are four ways that you can prepare spinach that will have your kids lining up for more.
