Generals Demand Resignation of Rumsfeld (April 17, 2006)

In sharp contrast to usual military policy, among officers, several Army Generals have made strong statements demanding the resignation of Department of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
What follows are my early notes regarding this issue.

No administration has ever waged a perfect war. Tearng down the country, the President and the troops isn't going to help. There was even a 5th column (traitors) during World War Two. We are winning the War with the Iraqi people, or hadn't you heard? Shall we listen to one sour grapes general and run away, abandoning them?

Generals and "war heroes" like Murtha and Kerry also don't like Pres. Bush. Shall we jump on their band wagon as well? You only listed the General that is against the war, not the many that can see things are getting done. Half a job is worse than none at all. If the Coalition of the Willing gives up and runs away, it will turn out just like your article in a way. A waste of time. It will also damage a new democracy and destroy everything good that the Coalition has accomplished. And for what? So a few liberals can look good at the polls to a few other liberals?

Let me get this straight. You are equating embarrassing some alQueda terror suspects with the beheadings they commit and film? What's wrong with you?
