Strengths,Weakness,Opportunites and Threats-SWOT

Communites work like a web. Each strand acting as a support to the infinite whole. When one string is broken,the structure is jeopardized.
Working in the African Artistic community in Zimbabwe has taught me alot about my own personality and the mechanics of collaboration.My goals were not as clear to my compatriots as they appeared in my head.

i take task in the effective use of communication here. It is essential to clearly spell out your goals to the people you are working with. In the persuit of development,one should be aware of the SWOT,that is Strengths,Weaknesses,Opportunities and Threats.

Strength comes in numbers,where there is collaboration,goals are achieved much faster and easier than in a single handed effort. This is due to the nature of combining individual efforts to have a muulti-faceted whole,which like a diamond,will shine with different degrees of light and colour,giving texture and variation.

Weaknesses are where issues such as economic gain,sustinence come in. It is not always understood that people go into projects for different goals.On one hand,in any economic situation,it is almost always a hinderance when we try to deal with the economic aspect of the project before it is done.True to say,most people have become victims of confidence men in this highly materialistic world.This has driven many to protect their end and blatantly go for nothing more than financial gain.A reasonable stance to take,if it is done in the right manner.Protecting ones self is simple yet often neglected.It is as easy as putting things in writing,agreeing in black and white to a level playing field where the aims and objectives are clear to all. This will cancel out suspicion and the need to take up any matters legally without documentation. I have seen people blindly get involved in projects without any scope as to whom the organization they are dealing with is,and what capacity it holds,financially and socially.
