HoopsVine.com Top 10 NBA Power Forwards
Kevin Garnett # 1
Boston Celtics
The Vine: The big ticket has taken his versatile game to Boston and while his overall numbers are down, it should come as no surprise that his impact to the Celtics means far much more than statistics.
Tim Duncan #2
San Antonio Spurs
The Vine: Don't confuse Duncan's play with the inconsistency of the Spurs this season. For the most part, Duncan has showed up against playoff caliber teams. There are obvious signs of the former Wake Forest star slowing down, but he still has plenty of gas left.
Chris Bosh # 3
Toronto Raptors
The Vine: Here is where people may disagree, but the Hoops Vine list is also based on recent play. In the month of January, Bosh is averaging 27.9 points per game and has scored under 20 points (16) just once this month.
Dirk Nowitzki # 4
Dallas Mavericks
The Vine: Breathe Mavericks fans - Dirk has picked up his game after early season struggles. He's also reclaimed the team's leading scorer spot from Josh Howard. Dirk has scored 20+ points in all games played this month (11), averaging 23.3 during the run.
Carlos Boozer # 5
Utah Jazz
The Vine: Boozer's placement at number five on this list is sure to spark some debate, but Boozer's January performance hasn't exactly taken the world by storm, but in comparison to the guys ranked 6-10, has the most potential to jump into the top 3 next month.
David West # 6
New Orleans Hornets
The Vine: It's not the fault of West that casual NBA fans aren't aware of his game. West has a legit chance to average 20/10 this season, which is a very attainable goal if point guard Chris Paul stays healthy.
Antawn Jamison # 7
Washington Wizards
The Vine: He's not as flashy as Agent Zero (Gilbert Arenas), nor does he maintain a nationally syndicated blog, but his on the court play is a big reason the Wizards are still relevant in playoff talks.
Pau Gasol # 8
Memphis Grizzlies
The Vine: Still trying to figure out why Memphis even entertains trading Gasol, especially with Rudy Gay becoming a premier play. That's the type of nucleus you need to build around, not disintegrate.
Zach Randolph # 9
New York Knicks
