The Simpsons: The Complete Third Season on DVD
DVD Review: The Simpsons: The Complete Third Season
Taking another step toward greatness with better art and funnier jokes, The Simpsons: The Complete Third Season is chalked full of classic Simpsons gags and a few surprises. For one, no one knew that Krusty the Clown (Castellaneta) is actually Jewish until he and his estranged rabbi father are reunited in "Like Father, Like Clown". More surprising guests include Wade Biggs, Jose Canseco, Roger Clemens, Ken Griffey Jr., Don Mattingly, Steve Sox, and Darryl Strawberry in "Homer At The Bat".
Watch for Homer Simpson's crazy antics in "Homer Alone" in which he is left to take care of the children, and almost immediately loses baby, Maggie Simpson. Recurring guest voice Marcia Wallace stars in "Bart The Lover" in which Bart leads his teacher, Mrs. Krabopple on to believe he his a Don Juan in a vicious prank. Homer's love for wife, Marge (Kavner) is tested by a lovely country singer named Lurleen (guest voice Beverly D'Angelo) in "Colonel Homer". Of course, for shock, horror and great laughs you can never go wrong with "Treehouse of Horror II" in which the family has nightmares after eating too much candy.
