It's Wrong for Hillary Clinton to Push for Michigan and Florida Delegate Recognition

Hillary Clinton easily won the Michigan primary, capturing 55 per cent of the vote, with "Uncommitted" coming in second at 40 per cent. Neither Barack Obama's nor John Edwards' names were on the ballot for Michigan. This state actually lost all 156 of its convention delegates because the state held their primary outside the Democratic National Committee's approved timeframe to hold the primary, according to CNN.com. If a tight race for the Democratic nomination ensues all the way to the convention, having those delegates seated can give the New York Senator an advantage, since she got the majority of the vote in a state that went uncontested by Obama and Edwards. Yet Senator Clinton's website statement above justifies the desire for the seating of the Florida and Michigan delegates by stating in part, "I believe our nominee will need the enthusiastic support of Democrats in these states to win the general election..."
