My friend gifted us the beautiful Farberware Generations Triple Pack that looked elegant in silver color. This is an ideal gift for the newly married couple or someone who is setting their new home. I have been using it little over than 6 months and this is too early to comment on this set especially because right now I cannot really give a review on the non stick coating or the durability of the set. Only time will tell. For those who are wondering what this Triple Pack consists of: well it comes with two skillets and a griddle. Farberware have a long list of trusted clienteles and now I am slowly moving to their camp. Let me tell you that this is definitely better than the expensive Tefal pans and the cheaper Calphalon skillets. The Tefal no longer gives the same high quality kitchen accessories as they used to deliver once up on a time and it is not anymore worth to invest in them. I am telling this from my personal bitter experience with the Tefal and in just a couple of months the coating chipped out. So In my opinion the Farberware Triple Pack is a genuine set compared to the counterparts and it is affordable also.
The skillets come in 8- and 9- inch dimension and this can be used to make nice small round omelet, pancake and stir fry. This can cook for a small family and not more than 3 or 4. The griddle is larger than the skillet and the 11 inch surface can coo easily breakfast for four with evenly toasted bread and steak. These utensils are made of aluminum. I would like to point out that it is not heavy like the cast iron or stainless steel material. In fact it is light in weight. However it weighs enough for a stable cooking base and does not wobble. It is easy to lift and move the set. I am not sure whether this can withstand high temperature in course of time and I fear it might warp after a couple of years. But this is just an assumption and being a Farberware product, the chances are remote.
