As my children are Star Wars fiends with every imaginable Star Wars accessory known to man, I am often asked where I get my custom lightsabers. Star Wars fans are very intriqued with the idea of tweaking with George Lucas' original designs. I've seen people come up with Darth Maul's doublesided laser in Mace Windu's purple or put Luke's handle on Yoda's blade. Of course, some people want to stick with the original, but they also want a higher quality power source. They are not happy with the FX light sources and want a custom LED or Luxeon.

I have spent many hours searching online for high quality LED and luxeon sabers and here's what I have come up. Without fail, Ebay is the best place to get custom sabers. But, in particular, there is one vendor on Ebay who stands above the rest. The company is called Ultra Sabers. The owner's name is Alex and he is an Ebay powerseller who operates under the name ultraswg. Ultra Sabers does run outside of Ebay, but Ebay is by far where you will get your best prices because Alex regularly puts deals on Ebay to attract business to his website. You can click here to see what Ultra Sabers is offering right now. I have ordered several sabres off of Ebay and I am extremely happy with them all.

Of course, there are a slew of other individuals who have custom lightsaber businesses. You can check them out here. And you may get lucky and find a great deal - but I always stick with Ultra Sabers because I know I will be happy with the transaction.

If you're not a member of Ebay and you are a Star Wars fan, you don't know what you are missing. Ebay is a Star Wars mecca. You can get vintage, original Star Wars treasures for a very reasonable amount of money - not to mention the whole cottage industry of Star Wars fanatics starting their own businesses with Star Wars custuming. free to bid and buy. One tip, if you are new to Ebay, don't bid until the end of the auction (unless the item is "Buy It Now". Bidding early only draws attention to your interest in the item and usually other inexperienced bidders will jump on and artificially inflate the price.
