What??? Well, of course I'm sure. It says so right here on MSNBC.com - at article, 'Wal-Mart looks to lure Super Bowl shoppers' that the New York Wal-Mart Stores Inc. voted on Tuesday to cut all kinds of prices by up to 30% on groceries, popular electronics, and other things that shoppers might buy before the Super Bowl game on Sunday. So, okay... like, doesn't that mean that Wal-Mart is setting up a sale for me in the parking lot of the Super Bowl, like one of those Flea Market thingies? The Super Bowl is in New York this year, isn't it?
.... Oh, yeah. Phooey. I see that you're right now. That Wal-Mart article does continue below the ad for a new computer on the news site. Arizona? The Super Bowl is in Arizona this year? Well... don't I feel stupid. Of course Wal-Mart wouldn't be thinkin' of holding a Flea Market during the Super Bowl in a snow covered parking lot. Arizona makes a whole lot more sense to me. Hang on... I'm going to go read the rest of that article before I really put my foot in my mouth.
Hey, I get it now! Reuters has picked up this Wal-Mart article from the news for MSNBC, and they are announcing in news that since their sales are slow this month, so that I can get... well, here. You read that part for yourself, "Wal-Mart said it was offering a Vizio 32-inch LCD television for $597; two 12-inch DiGiorno pizzas for $9, and two bags of Doritos for $6. ".
Okay, so the Super Bowl is in sunny Arizona... And, I could sure use a little of that nice warm sunshine right about now. Maybe I should go? Oh My Word!!! No way!!! I am not going to the Super Bowl. Wild horses couldn't drag me to that darned thing. Look at this line from an Associated Press article, "For die-hard fans of the New York Giants and New England Patriots, this Sunday's Super Bowl won't be just a game. It may be a health hazard."
