Resident Evil Wii Re-confirmed

While there was a great deal of doubt surrounding the existence of a Resident Evil developed specifically for the Nintendo Wii following the Leipzig Games Conference, the Wiire reports today that Capcom has confirmed that such a game is still in development. In an interview with Pro-G, Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi intimated that Resident Evil Wii was no longer in production but Capcom states that this was a miscommunication responding, “Takeuchi-san's answer does not contradict the announcement made at this year's E3 which confirmed that a RE title for Wii was in development.” It has been rumored for some time that Resident Evil 2 and 4 star Leon S. Kennedy will act as protagonist in Resident Evil Wii.
