Positive actions are defined with happiness as a result; negative actions are defined as actions that lead to suffering as a result.
NO RESULTS WITHOUT CAUSE:
As with the obvious facts behind Science, things do not just appear out of nothing.
ONCE AN ACTION IS DONE, THE RESULT IS NEVER LOST:
Similar to above, things do not just disappear into nothing.
KARMA EXPANDS:
Once we have an imprint of action in our minds, it tends to be habit forming. Then it becomes normal.
