Tonight is the night Lost fans have waited eight months for. Tonight is the night fans of scripted TV have waited for since the strike started- an actual non reality show has a new season. Lost got back into fans good graces last season, adding a few more moments to the collection of classic Lost scenes. No matter how many times Lost fans and critics turn on the show, Lost manages to add another classic moment just in the nick of time. As we prepare to add to Lost lore for the first time in too long, here are the greatest hits of the show we love to worship, and often roll our eyes at, all at once.

Honorable mentions
Sawyer meets Christian Shepherd, "Outlaws."
The introduction of Henry Gale/Ben Linus, "One of Them."
The introduction of Juliet on the day flight 815 crashed, "A Tale of Two Cities."
Sawyer kills Anthony Cooper/Sawyer, "The Brig."
Ben shoots Locke, "The Man Behind the Curtain."
The flash forward, "Through the Looking Glass."

10. Michael's murders, "Two for the Road."
Two things tended to annoy Lost fans in Season Two. One was the introduction of unpopular new survivor Ana-Lucia. The other was how Michael, the father of kidnapped young psychic Walt, had been reduced to screaming Walt's name during his frantic search. But those two frustrating arcs came together in one of Lost's most surprising endings.
When Michael offered to shoot the captured Henry Gale for a repentant Ana-Lucia, it seemed only logical. But without any fanfare, or foreshadowing, he killed her instead. And Michael even killed Libby, another struggling newcomer, for good measure.
Michael ultimately betrayed everyone he cared about to get Walt back. But for that one moment, he was back in some fans good graces. And he set the stage for Season Two to finally redeem itself.
