I recently read another article on Associated Content about a site, Epinions.com. As I became curious of another website that I could get paid to write reviews about - I decided to join! The sign up was simple and I got started right away. I started off writing an article about the new printer I just purchased. I then had to go back and add more words just to meet their standards. Right off the bat I was disappointed. I said all the good things about the printer, there was simply nothing left for me to say!

After I finished "bs"ing my way through my first article, I proceeded to write another one on a CD I had purchased. I figured it would be easier to write articles on things I actually liked, because I could find more things to say about the item than I could writing a bad review. For this particular album, there were no other reviews. I figured this would be my chance to write a good review, so other potential buyers would see it and want to buy it as well.

I wrote everything about an album you can, about the vocals, the music its self, the band as a whole. Their unique sound, unique lyrics, so many things I simply cant write about here without rewriting my entire review. After leaving the website, surfing around a bit more and then going to bed. I woke to find that I had received a new email from Epinions.com. It was a comment for my review on my album! It was rude, it was - well not something I expected to get from Epinions! At first I thought it was another member, just another rude person on the website.

When I realized that it was an "advisor", I was infuriated! I went to my review, because apparently my review of something as simple as an album can be considered "not helpful". Eight advisors went to my review and said it was "not helpful"! Buying an album isn't up to the people that already bought it, its in the hands of the potential buyers. The reason why you buy an album is simply because you like the sound of the music. A lot of websites allow you to sample their music and most new albums with have their songs on the radio.

He is the sort of crazed psychotic trash you can find on epinions. This feller likes going around labeling other people trolls, yet here he is stalking anyone who dares say anything bad about the precious epinions website. Not everyone is like this though, this man however... or woman is only making the site look worse though. You see, he/she thinks hes cracked some mystical underground lair of epinions trolls. lol. Meanwhile he has taken to following past members to this site, bashing their names, and spreading lies about such people...it just shows you what sort of trolls go bumping around the bridges over there at times. Thus why I no longer participate in getting cozy there anymore.

As an Epinions member, I must say it is unfortunate when new members sometimes catch hell just for being new, but it does happen. It took me a while to figure out how things work, and I ended up doing pretty well on there. I'm still doing well on there. You should consider coming back! There's a lot of money to be made right now.

RPL, that is scary, because not only do some of these so called 'upstanding members' stalk you on that site, but as you can clearly see, they will stalk someone they don't like all throughout the internet. The stalking does not stop at epinions... the stalking stretches from one site to another, and is is downright disgusting.

What we have here folks is a real conspiracy theorist. This fella, likes to go around calling everyone Penny. This fella is a prime example of what I HATE about epinions. You give epinions a bad name... and supposedly you love it there?! Whats up with that Johnny Fever. You should strive to help the site, and not focus so much on worrying about other peoples opinons about the site.

Hi there. Your experience there reminds me of my own. I wrote several reviews which were rated anywhere from Somewhat Helpful to Very Helpful. But then I started getting comments from 2 advisors, calling me names. These are ADVISORS! One, in particular, was telling me he was tracking my every move on the site. I don't think they are interested in any new writers there - and I think there are several advisors there that are, to put it mildly, very unstable. I have even seen them leave threatening messages on this site for another former epinions member. It's bizarre.
