Pirate Party Decorations

Decorations for a party are as important as the food, games, and favors, and pirate party decorations are a great way to set the mood for a fun celebration. Here you'll find a number of easy party decorations that will make the pirate party you host a celebration to remember. You'll
definitely impress the little pirates attending your kid's party with these fun and inventive ideas. Although these decorations are easy to make, you'll never find decorations like these in stores.

Skeleton Pirate

If you have skeleton decorations leftover from Halloween, they can be used for the pirate party. Dress skeleton with pirate hats and eye patches, and attach toy swords to their hands. Hang the skeleton decorations near the entryway or anywhere little pirates will roam. A personalized sign can also be made and hung near the skeleton decorations to welcome party guests.

Pirate Balloons and Streamers

Balloons and streamers are a must at a party, and a pirate party is no exception. Decorate the doorways by surrounding them with black, purple, and gold balloons, and hang streamers in between. Create a curtains of streamers in doorways to add excitement and a little bit of mystery to the party. Kids will have fun making their way through doorways of streamers, and the balloons will add a lot of festivity and color.

Decorative Treasure Chest

Pirates and treasure chests are an obvious combination, and when searching for ideas for decorations, don't forget to make a treasure chest for your little pirate's party. An impressive treasure chest can be made from a small cedar chest, a foam cooler, or another container appropriate for a pirate's chest.

Containers don't have to be painted. All you need is heavy duty double-sided tape and dark brown or black fabric. Wrap the fabric around the chest and the lid, and affix it securely with the tape. This will make a pirate's chest that looks convincing enough for a child's party, and the container won't be ruined.
