Chocolate Oatmeal CookiesThese cookies always get gone at my house. Mostly it's by me eating them so much. I can't help but walk by, see them in the cookie container, and go grab a few at a time to eat! They seem to just melt in your mouth. I have a few for breakfast, a few for snack, a few more at lunch, afternoon snack, dinner dessert, and then for a bedtime snack. The sad thing is I'm not kidding.
You will need the following ingredients to make these delicious Chocolate Oatmeal cookies:
5 tablespoons of cocoa
2 cups of sugar
1 stick of margarine
½ cup of milk
½ cup of peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups of oatmeal
To make these Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies:
(1) Mix together the cocoa, sugar, milk, and margarine on the stove top.
(2) Bring this mix to a boil for 3 minutes.
(3) Remove the pot from the heat.
(4) Add the peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal. Mix well.
(5) Drop a spoonful of mix onto wax paper.
(6) Let the drops cool and setup for a few hours.
They do not take long to make - it's just the wait for the cookies to setup and firm up that takes the longest. The wait is well worth it though!
These Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies should be a real treat for you and your family, especially if you have kids. These make a great dessert or party item.
