According to several online and retail sources, the traditional and modern 25^th anniversary gift is silver. It is, after all, referred to as the silver anniversary. The next question is, "What should I buy?"

- Silver platter engraved with the number 25, the couple's name and wedding date.

- Silver triple photo frame - one idea is to put a picture of the couple on their wedding day in the left frame, a copy of the wedding invitation in the middle, and a current picture of the couple in the right frame.

- Silver anniversary clock - there are retailers and manufacturers who have a line of anniversary clocks in their inventory, and this is something that can be displayed and seen every day, and is a reminder of the couple's time together.

- Silver and marble cheese serving set - I saw this on the Red Envelope site, but several other places carry these, as well. This is a good idea for a gift that the couple will actively use.
