Lost Season 4 Opener and Easter Eggs

Spoiler Alert - If you not yet seen the season opener for Lost and you want to watch the twisted story unravel and detour and re-ravel on your own, you might want to stop reading here.

Here are the top events from the Lost Season four opener with some Easter Eggs tossed into the basket.

1. Jacob is Dr. Christian Shephard

The theory that Jacob is Christian Shephard, Jack's dead father has been alive on the net for months. The Lost season four opener may have finally solidified that theory on its own. But there is also confirmation. In an E! Online interview with Jorge Garcia, Lost's Hurley, is where we may have the real proof.

Easter Egg: It is a very quick shot, but you can see Christian Shephard sitting in the chair. If you blink you will miss it.

In an interview with E! Online's Kristen, Jorge Garcia confirms that it was indeed Christan Shephard in the chair (E! Online)

2. Charlie May Be Alive

Charlie visits Hurley in a flash forward scene when Hurley is in the mental institution. Charlie tells Hurley he is dead, even though one of the other patients saw Charlie.

These two examples of characters who are dead and can be seen feed into the theory of lost as some kind of Purgatory or Afterlife, or even as a realm between the living and the dead.

Certain people including Hurley, John Locke and Walt have a special connection with the island and they can "see" what others cannot. Further proof that Hurley has this special power comes when he looks inside the window of Jacob's cabin and he sees Dr. Christan Shephard sitting in the chair. Even John Locke could not see Jacob, he could only hear him.

3. Jack vs. John

The survivors are set to split again, like they did in the very beginning when some chose the caves and others stayed on the beach. This time John Locke is leading the group that does not believe the rescuers from the boat are there to save them.
