Golden Jade Chinese Restaurant in Manahawkin, New Jersey: Review

I love the Chinese Restaurant in our town of Barnegat, but we recently had a flier stuck in our front door for Golden Jade Chinese Restaurant in Manahawkin, New Jersey. The flier had the menu printed on it as well as several money saving coupons. Golden Jade Chinese Restaurant is located in the Stafford Square Shopping Center on Rt. 72 W. in Manahawkin, New Jersey.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant while the girls were having dinner and sleepovers at friend's homes. Parents of two young children know how rare it is that a night comes along with both children otherwise engaged, so the opportunity for a quiet dinner together could not be ignored. We arrived at Golden Jade Chinese Restaurant around Six PM on a Friday night. The restaurant was hopping to say the least. I was doubtful that we would be able to secure a table before quite a long wait, but I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated after only fifteen minutes to a comfortable table for two.

I am usually very loyal to General Tso's Chicken when eating Chinese Food, but I was feeling adventurous so I decided to take a chance and order something new. I ordered the Seafood Delight which was Lobster meat, shrimp, scallops, crab and mixed vegetables over a bed of steamed rice. My husband ordered Steamed White Meat Chicken with steamed vegetables over a brown rice. This entree was listed on a separate section of the menu that was titles Healthy Dishes. Chinese Restaurants are notorious for being loaded with menu items that are high in calories and sodium, so these options were a definite plus to dining at Golden Jade Chinese Restaurant.
