The Sparrow's Tale

A Round-Robin in Rhyme, Written at Family Time

21
As pirate lovers, fans of flicks,
We dabbled here in limericks.
Two generations tried technique
And wrote these rhymes, with tongue in cheek.

A pirate, Jack Sparrow was he.
His ship was a catastrophe.
The makeup he wore,
Your mom would abhor,
But he lures all the ladies with glee.

This lunatic wild buccaneer,
With many a pierce in his ear,
Who seemed uncontrolled,
Had a heart filled with gold
That reduced other pirates to fear.

He followed the ghost ship, "Black Pearl,"
Way past the far end of the world.
His friends, courage showed,
Forgetting "The Code,"
But he didn't end up with the girl!

So when will the pirate return
To embark on another sojourn?
When the DVD tales
Are reduced for quick sales,
Then Jack Sparrow's hiatus adjourns.
