When you get a cold, what food do you turn to for relief? For me, it's chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately, this is a food I will be enjoying a lot over the next few days. But, there is only one brand I want when I'm sick. Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup is not only low in calories, but has a rich broth that helps the symptoms of almost any cold. But, what else makes Campbell's my favorite brand?

Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup Review: Taste

Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup has a hearty broth that seems to coat a sore throat. Being condensed, it is high in sodium. But, when I'm sick I usually have a hard time tasting food so I normally prepare it with only half a can of water. That way, I can actually taste the rich broth. The pasta is perfectly cooked, but the meat is a little lacking in flavor. Still, I love the flavor of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup.

Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup Review: Cold Easing Abilities

Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup helps soothe a sore throat, but it also helps with congestion. As you drink the hot broth, is seems to clear some of the congestion that has built up in your throat. Also, Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup just makes you feel cozy and warm. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but this product is always one of the natural remedies I use whenever I have a bad cold.

This is one of those things I cannot get in Sweden that I desperately want! We have all kinds of Campbells Soups over here... but not this one. Grrrr

Great review! For some reason, I don't like chicken noodle soup at all. I've never tried Campbells though - maybe I'll have to, in spite of the sodium content!

Get well soon, Amy. Thanks for this review. I think I've tried this soup before, but found it too high in sodium for my taste. Sophie

I don't mind canned soups being high in sodium because the low sodium ones have no taste.

I grew up with Campbell's Noodle soup, even though my mother made great homemade soup, which I now prefer. Still, I have to have my "fix" of Campbells now and then, if only for the memories :) We do get the low sodium variety and salt it to taste. Loved this review, very honest about the sodium content. I still love Campbells...mmmm,mmmmm.....good!
