Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert Movie in 3D Review

First let me start by saying that I just returned from Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus movie. I logged online to check and see if it was truly indeed a "sold-out" movie as many others have predicted. At this time and in our area it is not. At our theater in Fredericksburg, VA tickets are being sold through www.fandango.com until February 14, 2008. (I thought this was supposed to be a one-week limited engagement.)

The recent headlines concerning Miley Cyrus did not seem to deter any moviegoers. Scores of parents and children were lined up and waiting to get into the movie theater. Our movie was supposed to start at 3:10PM. The crowd was not let in until about 2:55PM.

The Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus movie opened with several Disney movie previews. Special 3-D previews included "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D" starring Brendan Fraser and "Fly Me to the Moon".

I noticed that most of the children in the audience tended to be a little bit younger than those we witnessed attending the concert. I have to say that with the movie, I was a little disappointed that they didn't show more behind the scenes footage.

The movie starts with Miley Cyrus putting on a wig to become Hannah Montana. She performs many of her "Hannah" songs. In the middle between Hannah and Miley, the Jonas Brothers come out and sing, "We Got the Party" with Hannah. During the last few seconds of the song, Hannah slips out to change into Miley. While she's changing, the Jonas Brothers perform a couple of their hit songs. At the concert, they were also her opening act.

The movie does show her changing into Miley but don't expect a lot of time devoted to this subject. One quick change lasted less than 40 seconds. They comment on how fast they have to get her changed between songs.
